I got the Dr. Brown starter set before my son was born. I had no idea when I was suppose to go from level 1 to level 2. A friend said to go with their age. I thought they meant years now I gather she probably meant months. When I finally moved quickly through level 2 and into 3 since that is where he was suppose to be feedings got a lot easier and a lot faster.

    Good quality!

I purchased these for my grandson because the size one nipples that came with the bottles had a fast flow and he was constantly getting too much and spitting up frequently. After I switched to these I’ve noticed he spits up less. The flow is a lot slower. I purchased the preemie and newborn nipples at the same time but didn’t really notice a difference in the flow between them. I hope this helps!

    Perfect flow

Used this size for the first few months with my daughter as it gave her the same flow as breastfeeding so she wouldn’t choke on the milk! Definitely will be ordering more for this baby coming shortly!

    Perfect for newborns.

I purchased Dr Browns bottles for my newborn granddaughter. They come with size 1 nipple. My granddaughter was getting the formula way to fast and therfore spitting up quite a lot. I purchased the preemie nipples, the flow is much slower and her spitting up has decreased a great deal.

    Just Do It

Dr. Brown’s Nipples are easy to replace in your Doctor Brown’s bottles. Throw them in the dishwasher or hand wash them, boil them or steam sterilize them… it doesn’t really matter because they’re lasting and holding up. I like how they have different nipple levels. We have used premature, size 1 and now size 2 with my son! Dr. Brown’s are a staple in our family and we will continue using them until our family is done with bottles.

    Staple for babies

Dr brown bottles and nipples have been a staple for both my babies. I switched both my sons to these just before they turned 6 months old and have had no issues. We have tried other bottles and nipples but they did not like them. Will be purchasing more.

Only thing I don’t like is after a couple weeks babies somehow rip nipples hole and I have to buy more. I am not sure if they are bitting them or when washing it the tear happens.

    Amazing

Perfect for the 3rd stage which is at about 5-6 months. Our baby was going blue trying to get the milk out and we finally realized it was the drip of the nipple that was preventing it. Definitely recommend

Love the nipples and the fact that they are labeled. I bought 2, 3, and Y…but I just grabbed the Level 3 and realized I was sent a level 2 instead, which I do not need 12 level 2 nipples lol. It’s always crazy with a new baby, but I’m annoyed I didn’t realize this until 10 days after my return deadline. I fixed it by using a knife to widen the hole 🤔 hopefully he likes the new flow…he does okay with the y cut when dad accidentally uses it…he’s almost 6 months.

Slow flow great for my breastfeed baby

I have been using these nipples in different sizes since my baby was born. I mostly breast-feed, but also pump so that my husband can spend time with the baby feeding him. These nipples have been amazing as they are slow flow. These are the only nipples my son would drink from. The slow flow is similar to breast-feeding, and also good for babies who have reflux and need to eat slower and helps to minimize babies choking.

Dr. Brown’s Y-Cut Nipples are designed for use with Dr. Brown’s baby bottles and are intended to provide a faster flow of milk for babies who require a more aggressive feeding pace. Here is a review of these nipples based on general knowledge:Pros:Faster Flow: The Y-Cut design offers a faster flow of milk, making it suitable for older infants or those who need a quicker feeding experience. This can be beneficial for babies who struggle with a slower flow or have a stronger suck.Mimics Natural Feeding: The Y-Cut nipples are designed to mimic the natural flow of breastfeeding, allowing babies to control the pace of their feeding. This feature can be helpful for babies transitioning between breastfeeding and bottle-feeding.Reduces Feeding Frustration: For babies who have a strong suck or are accustomed to a faster flow, the Y-Cut nipples can help reduce feeding frustration by providing an appropriate flow rate. This can make feeding sessions more comfortable for both the baby and caregiver.Compatible with Dr. Brown’s Bottles: The Y-Cut nipples are specifically designed to fit Dr. Brown’s baby bottles. If you already use Dr. Brown’s bottles, it’s convenient to have the option of switching to the Y-Cut nipples as your baby’s needs change.Cons:Limited Compatibility: Since the Y-Cut nipples are designed specifically for Dr. Brown’s bottles, they may not be compatible with other bottle brands. This can limit your options if you prefer using different bottle systems.Nipple Confusion: Introducing a faster flow nipple too early or without necessity can potentially cause nipple confusion in breastfed babies. It’s important to consult with a pediatrician or lactation consultant before introducing Y-Cut nipples if you are combining bottle-feeding with breastfeeding.Individual Variations: Every baby is unique, and while the Y-Cut nipples may work well for some, they may not suit every baby’s feeding needs. It’s important to observe your baby’s feeding patterns and consult with your pediatrician to determine if the Y-Cut nipples are appropriate.Remember, it’s essential to consider your baby’s specific feeding needs and consult with healthcare professionals for personalized advice. Reviews and experiences can vary, so it’s always helpful to seek recommendations and guidance from experts who are familiar with your baby’s situation.

    Slow flow we needed

I got Dr Brown’s bottles and they came with size 1 nipples, we found that the flow was way too fast for our newborn. My Dr suggested trying premee size and my baby is so much happier, doesn’t choke or spit, and I can tell the milk flow is super slow baby actually has to suck for milk to flow

    Possibility of strong detergent smell

My baby girl was using level 1 Dr.Brown nipples. I noticed it took her an hour to finish a bottle due to her squirming and smacking the bottle. I googled it and read going up in nipple size could help. I bought a package of these to try them out, and her problems immediately went away. She was back to feeding like a champ lol. So I bought a second set of 6.I will say that the first pack I bought smelled STRONGLY of detergent. I had to wash them multiple times before I felt safe giving them to my daughter. The 2nd set I bought was perfectly fine though…

    Great!

I order this product because my newborn couldn’t latch and would choke on normal nipple flow. The doctor had told me it was because my baby would chew instead of suck on the bottle. So I needed a slow flow. It allowed him to learn that he needs to suck to get the milk out. The normal flow would just drip outand would be too fast for him and that’s what cause him to choke. Hopefully this review helps

Great for 3 months and up!

I ordered these when my 2.5 month old stopped eating well. She wouldn’t finish her bottles and became bored and would fall asleep. I decided to order these since she was almost 3 months old, and they helped my infant eat so much better! The good:The hole in the nipple is bigger and requires less “work” for the infant at feeding time compared to the 0-3 month nipples. Easy to clean and can be boiled or steam sterilized. Love that the nipples have a number 2 on them so you can tell them apart from the 0-3 month nipples. Price point is affordable and these shipped quickly!I recommend these nipples. I have no complaints!

    EXTREMELY slow

I ordered these for my daughter who was having trouble with a few different kinds of nipples because they were too fast (even the slow by tommee tippee was too fast). I had heard good things about Dr. Browns, so we ordered a bottle set with 1 and 2 nipples and a set of these. These were actually WAY too slow for her. It took her a very long time to eat what she normally takes in 10 minutes. She was only 36 weeks when she was born, and is almost a month old now. So maybe this would be better for earlier babies.

    Life saver!

My newborn was fighting for his life with those level 1 nipples! The flow was way too quick for him. He was about 2 weeks old when I ordered these. There was a very noticeable difference in feedings with these. Babe wasn’t guzzling it down so quick it gave him a tummy ache, he wasn’t being waterboarded every time he put the bottle in his mouth, and wasn’t finishing a 3oz bottle in 2-3min.We recently switched back to level 1’s and babe is doing so much better on them than he was a couple months ago.Very thankful that Dr. Browns offers these different levels.

    Be Careful

Ordered the level 3 for my little one and its a super fast release compared to level 1 and 2. The only issue is having to watch over him the whole time because if he pulls the bottle out of his mouth and the bottle is faced a certain way then milk will leak out of the tip of the nipple. I’ve made the mistake of dozing off during his overnight feeds and found that his mattress is soaked or find that if the bottle is on its side milk will come out and leave a little milk puddle.

Perfect to help our 6 month old drink her bottles

Our 6 month old was getting tired and frustrated when using a #2 while trying to drink 5+ oz, so we tried upping the size. These were a great help, she is able to drink at a much faster yet comfortable pace. After the first 1-2 feeds with the new size she adjusted and we saw no leakage. Easy to clean, have not had any soap scum build up

Worked a little too well for our little one

We sized up to the size 2 when my baby was around 3-4 months. She nurses half the time and takes a bottle the other half. She seemed ready to size up, and these Dr. Brown nipples allowed her to finish a bottle in about 4 minutes (as opposed to more like 15 with the size 1 nipples). These size twos allowed her to pretty much chug it. So, they did their job. However, she liked to new flow a little too much and went on a nursing strike because she had to work harder than the bottle when at the breast. This led to clogged ducts and tears (from both of us). I quickly switched back to the size 1 when I realized what was happening and we have stayed there since (now 6 months old). So, the product itself is good, but proceed with caution if you are someone who nurses as well!

It’s Dr Browns. What more can you ask for?

I have used Dr Brown’s products for the last 7 years with all my boys. I have 3 boys and when they were a baby they used Dr. Brown’s nipple stages, for 1-3. First-time moms and dads, you will see an improvement in feeding time when you switch from 1 to 2, and 2 to 3. That is the best part about these nipples because it cuts feeding time in half and also its very easy to clean.Highly Recommend any Dr Brown products. I have never had a bad experience with them.

    Just go for these

If you are using level 4 nipples of dr browns bottles, use the Y-cut ones instead of the standard ones. Price is the same and these don’t leak even when the bottle goes upside down or falls off unlike the normal ones which keep dripping because of bigger holes on the level4 ones.

    FLOW ,quality ,life saver!

10/10My first born had no issues with feeding, my daughter however has been struggling. Until I found these! The level 1 flow that comes with the dr.brown bottles was way too quick. I found the premie nipple and they have been a life saver! She is a lot calmer at feeding time and less spitting up, painful burps and gas! She is 6 weeks now and we recently switched to the level T transition nipple with success. I highly recommend this to any parent that is struggling to find the right flow! The dr.brown happy paci has also been a great investment. It helped my little one get used to the nipple shape that doctor brown offers.

They are okay but the flow is still somewhat fast

My newborn gulps his milk since day 3 of birth! So I bought these nipples hoping the flow was much slower, when you fill the nipple and turn it upside down you can clearly see the flow is like a regular 1 from Dr. Browns. But I did have to say from all 6 nipples 3 were like that, with a faster flow/ bigger hole than the 3, so what I did was test all nipples and use the ones I seen with the slowest flow. The others I’ll save to replace once these nipples get worn out.

    Decent, but leaks sometimes

We only use Dr. Browns in our house. We’ve never had a problem until we purchased these. For some reason, they slip just enough to be crooked and leak all over when used. No matter how much we try to get it secure in the top of the bottle, it always ends up crooked.

    Works good.

No hassle. Work very well. Make sure you have the original type bottle though. I had the new comfort ones and the nipples aren’t the same size. Had to go buy the old style. My baby boy was eating way too fast and suffering from colic and acid reflux. These helped big time from him eating like a crazy guy and upsetting his tummy. Slowed him down and made him work for his food. Didn’t change his ability to latch on to me at all.

    Good product.

Our daughter has really bad reflux so the GI doctor has us thickening her formula. We couldn’t get the nipple size right by cutting it so we ordered these. Unfortunately they still didn’t work for us. But our daughter is only 3 weeks old. I could see it working for older kids who have better control. We plan on keeping them and trying them when she gets more control.

works well to restrict bottle flow

These seem to work well at restricting flow, to the point that my newborn was actually getting tired. For the price, I feel like you get a decent number of nipples. Mine came with the word “PREMIE” on them as opposed to the one-letter/number that is typically on Dr. Browns’ nipples, but it’s easy to see so I don’t mix them up with the others. Overall, I received exactly what is pictured and am satisfied with the purchase.

    works good for my twins

before this i was using the size 4 and poked a hole through it with a knife x shaped. didnt know they made a y shape till i had to buy more. this works great. my only issue is because i had made a cut for my twins previously that this nipple seems a bit slower so i have to do a larger cut.its easy to clean and easy to use. i use this on options bottle 8 ounce.

    Exactly What We Needed

Yep, my twin 18 month-olds (16.5 months adjusted) are still using bottles. I don’t even care, but when the size 4 nipple stopped working for them, I looked for the next size up, which doesn’t really exists. The sippy spout was only slightly easier for them, but they didn’t like the shape. The Y-cut nipple was the answer. Unfortunately, the Y splits open after a while and fluid just pours out of the bottle, so it’s important to replace these regularly. This is our second purchase (and these were cheaper than the first set I bought from a store). Hoping I can get them interested in cups before having to replace these again.

    Thankful for Replacement Parts!

Life got away from us for a few days, and so did the dishes. A couple of our nice Dr Brown glass bottles got lost amongst the dishes and by the time we realized I felt like I could see mold starting to grow inside one of the nipples! Rather than wash the nipple pieces and risk it, I decided to toss them and look for replacements. This way we can thoroughly sanitize the bottles and still be able to use them without worrying whether the mold leeched into the nipple material or not. Thankful for replacement parts so we don’t have to ditch the whole bottle!

Dr. Brown is great!! First time/first use was a dud

I had an issue the first times using, where it was really hard to get the milk to flow. The baby kept sucking and not getting much, so we had to switch nipples. However, after the that, they seem to work just fine! I’m a big fan of Dr. Brown’s stuff, but making my baby upset gets them one star knocked off!

    Does the job

Bought these for baby to use with AR formula based on reviews. Good product does the trick but for a newborn it was definitely too much at once. The Lansinoh medium flow is a much smaller Y shaped nipple that worked better for us.

    Good

There good but, not great nipples…..which I got the dr.brown options or convertible of which you can have the vents with or with out.So my conclusion is that these nipples works wonders with the vents in them and as my little one is old enough to drink with out the vents the nipples didint work as well of which my little one was struggling to drink the milk. Turns out the nipple didn’t flow smoothly through the nipple. So I bought my parents choice instead with fast flow nipples sold separately at Walmart and it works for my baby perfectly and my baby loves it.

These have good flow – actually perfect for my now 4 months …

We switched over to Level 2 nipples when the baby was around 2.5 months. He was getting frustrated during feeds because the flow was too slow with level 1. These have good flow – actually perfect for my now 4 months old. He didn’t even have any adjustment issues (no choking, no spilling). The only problem I have with these is that they change color rather quickly after about a month of usage (slight yellowish/cloudy color). Overall, good product!

Best “silicone” nipple shape for a good latch

The best bottle there is- no other bottle has venting as good as Dr. Browns, and the long/narrow nipple for the best latch (especially if there is a high pallet and there’s clicking with other nipples). Don’t listen to anyone who says that getting a nipple that most closely resembles the breast will aid in the transition to breast to bottle with the least fussing or avoiding a bottle preference if baby prefers it. Baby knows the difference between silicone from skin (and silicone will never come close to resembling the breast, I don’t know why companies try to dupe moms into thinking this), so go with the best silicone nipple for a desirable bottlefeeding experience. If you’re having trouble transitioning from breast to bottle it’s likely because baby simply likes the breast more, or has been frustrated by being forced or pressured to take the bottle. Sorry for the rant, this is a great nipple for a great bottle- my girl went from a shouldered nipple (that “resembled the breast”) to this one, and it took her half the time to finish a bottle, no more clicking and loss of suction, and no nipple collapse due to venting issues!

Good nipples with a normal drip! I had to buy these cause my 1yr old has chewed through all his original nipples and won’t take a sippy and he likes a normal slow/not too fast drip and these worked out perfectly! Although they did not last long for us cause our toddler is a chewer! But my little has always used a level 1 nipple and we ordered a level 2 and it wasn’t a big difference so he did like the flow of these!

    Not for 9 months

I knocked off a star b/c I don’t think this is good for 9 month babies. The milk comes out waaaaay too quick. It’s basically a solid stream. It’s also a pain if she puts her bottle down, and there’s still a lot of milk in it, b/c it just drains out onto whatever she puts it on. Plus if she’s laying down and tries to drink from it, sometimes she starts choking/coughing. Going to stick with level 2 & 3 for now, until she’s 12 months.

We’d been using these to replace the level 1 nipples that come with the bottles for our breastfed baby. We first tried the preemie nipples, which worked ok, but we felt baby was struggling too much and eating too slow. We upgraded to the transition level and they’ve been working perfect.

Friends BabyJ is a preemie so she was going to try to move her up to a one on nipples from the easy flow. So I ordered these for her to try out. Dr browns has been a perfect choice for my son who was born at 24 weeks gestation as preemie babies tend to have severe acid reflux, we’ve had all sizes from ultra preemie, preemie, 1, 2, and now 3 and they’re great.

The 3 month mark was right on, no gas problems with these.

We started with these nipples and they are now the only ones that my daughter will tollerate. I wish they were more breastfeeding friendly though. They are not. The shape in no way facilitates breastfeeding so do not use until breastfeeding is solidly established. The 3 month mark was right on though, she definitely needed to move up to the 2s at three months. No gas problems with these, although I do have to rotate to get air into the bottle and milk into my baby. These are the bottles we used and despite our best efforts and lactation consultants, she doesn’t breastfeed 🙁

    Not bad.

I’ve been using the Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Level 3 Silicone Nipples for my baby who is 6 months old. The medium-fast flow is perfect for their stage, and I appreciate that it’s made of 100% silicone. The 6-pack is convenient, ensuring I always have a clean nipple ready. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that occasionally, the flow seems a bit too fast for my baby, causing some spillage. But overall, a great product that I would recommend.

Material feels just a bit different

The nipples themselves look good, got all 6 I ordered, no issues with being fused together or anything like some reviews said here. I compared to another two nipples I had bought at Target and they are the same size, look the same, however they definitely feel different, not by a lot, but the store bought ones are a bit harder (seem to be a bit better quality) the ones I got here when you squeeze them, feel like the material itself is thinner, for lack of a better word. But just got today, so we will see how they hold up, but so far, they look good.

Not exactly compatible with Medela collar rings

Note this item is “narrow” neck. Although this item might fit the Medela rings (size-wise in diameters), it does not click into place. Instead it just sits there with the Medela ring. It can come right off if you don’t screw it onto the bottle (which can be a hassle when your baby is hangry or it’s the middle of the night). Once screwed in properly, it does not leak or spill. Another note, this nipple is much slower than Medela’s, which is great slowing down my baby during feeds.

    Perfect for my newborn

We got a bunch of Dr.Brown’s bottles and nipples gifted to us but most of the nipples were size 1&2. We tried the size 1 but our baby kept spitting up or coughing because the flow was too fast. So I talked to our pediatrician and he recommended us try the premie size. We saw a difference immediately! After the first bottle with the preemie size he didn’t sound like he was choking and had no spit up!! We are now transitioning to size 1 since he is 2 months old and it’s working much better since he is bigger and has better control on breathing and sucking.

A Game-Changer for My Growing Baby!

I recently switched to Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Level 4 Narrow Baby Bottle Silicone Nipple for my 9-month-old, and it’s been a total game-changer for our feeding routine. The silicone feels soft and natural, providing a comfortable feeding experience for my little one. Knowing it’s made from 100% silicone gives me peace of mind about any potential harmful chemicals. The fast flow rate is just right for my growing baby who needs a bit more speed during feeds. It’s made our feeding times more efficient and reduced fussiness.Transitioning from the Level 3 nipple was smooth, and my baby took to it with ease. Plus, the unique anti-colic design has noticeably reduced post-feeding discomfort. The 6-pack offers great value for money, ensuring I always have a clean, ready-to-use nipple available. Cleaning is a breeze thanks to the wide opening at the base.In a nutshell, Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Level 4 Narrow Baby Bottle Silicone Nipple has surpassed my expectations. It’s a top-notch, reliable product that has made feeding time a breeze for both me and my baby. I highly recommend these nipples to parents of active, growing infants. They truly deliver on their promise of a natural, comfortable, and colic-reducing feeding experience.

    Love!

I have always loved Dr. Brown bottles. I needed upgraded nipples so I ordered these. They have worked out great. The only complaint I have and why I only gave a 4 star instead of 5 is that one of the nipples had a crack and the hole was much bigger than the size 3 that I ordered as if it had been cut.Otherwise amazing product, and that would not deter me from purchasing from them again, they are a very trusted brand and company and I highly trust their bottles and nipples despite this one error.

    Great Nipple

Most people don’t realize that the nipple size impacts how well your baby feeds and the amount of spit up that comes with feeding. With a slower flow nipple size your baby isn’t “drowning” in milk. Also, a lot of people don’t realize that you don’t need to up your nipple size as your baby grows. If your baby feeds just fine with a particular size, don’t change!!

I bought these because my baby outgrew the size 1 nipples. I’ve loved my Dr. Brown’s bottle sets and these nipples are no exception. They are a great value, great quality, and I will definitely be buying their products again.

    Also for enthusiastic eaters

My two week old son has been an enthusiastic eater since he was born. He’ll finish an oz of breast milk in 30 seconds if you let him, so we decided to switch to these “slowest flow” nipples while still giving him a break every 5 gulps

    Leaks some

These seem to leak a little bit with my Dr brown bottles. Not horrible, but a few drops per drink.

    Should have gotten 0 flow

My baby is Breastfed and this flow was a little fast for her. But if this is the size you want then this is great! Dr browns > every other bottle

    Difficult to clean

We’ve been using dr brown’s for a while and our child loves drinking from it. However after a couple of uses we do find it difficult to clean even with the funnel brush that is provided with it. The nipples become almost ‘hazy’ and just feels unclean. We’ve tried soaking it in hot water too

    Great flow

Love these. My baby loves these, everyone is happy.

  176. It definitely serves its purpose! We bought it to announce our first born! Can’t wait to use it more! It’s just hard to break lose the letters and numbers. We broke a few trying to get what we needed off.

    Bottle nipples

Don’t really use bottles much. Glad we ordered bigger bottle nipples, that way when she sizes up we have them!

    So convenient!

Needed these and was able to order and get in a timely manner for my baby. It was taking forever to feed her and when we transitioned at 4 months it was perfect. She is able to drink her bottles quicker at night and we can both get back to sleep faster. It’s convenient that I can order it and it come in quickly!

    Saved us from gas!

Our newborn was having a hard time gaining weight while nursing so we had to bottle feed. I used Dr Brown’s bottled with my other kids and loved them, however they didnt have bottles until they were over a month old. My 6 day old used the size one nipple and took in so much air that she was miserable for hours. So I bought these preemie nipples and they worked fantastically! No upset baby after using them!

    Overall good product.

I used this for my daughter and it look pretty good…The only thing is the flow is too fast…Though my daughter is only 5+ months so I realized that i will need level 2.I ordered level 2 and yet to receive. But overall item is good if your baby like fast flow and don’t feel fussy or getting air due to fast flow while feeding.I will try again this once my baby turns 6+I recommend this product only if your baby is 6+ or she can handle fast flow while feeding.I read reviews before placing order that some nipple are joint or missing one and all but in my package it was very well packed and received all of 6 and all separated.

This is similar to L4 but better because unlike l4 it does not leak on bending the bottle
