For those whose skin reacted by stinging etc
It’s because your skin is sensitized .Long review but neededI have super reactive , combo skin and it’s what happened to me the first time I used it and still does if I’ve been over enthusiastic with ‘experimenting ‘ with acids etc .I got stinging , burning even and itchy and came out in like little red dots .Didn’t make sense I thought ? The ingredients are mega ??So long story short :Give your skin a break by using just a basic occlusive (like the godsends aquaphor / cerave ointment / QV cream/ is clinical sheald/ locobase ( Swedish brand )) for a few days, ie – calm your skin down .Then try again.Also . Before applying I spray 2 to 3 layers of Avene spring thermal water – you spray , you pat on , you spray you pat on etc – yes sounds bonkers but it works . Then a pea sized amount of the vanicream by patting again .If you are sensitive combo – treat your t zone differently from your U zone . I don’t apply this on my nose for example because it could congest.I wait a couple of minutes ,I then apply an occlusive on the u zone including around eyes with one of the above mentioned ones . Because I’m dry there .I also finish off with some lanolin patted on top and yes at times Etude soon Jung sleeping pack .I know it seems a lot , but it’s a pea sized every time and layering .I wake you with calm , moist skin. And no pimples .Extra :1. Patting versus smearing , yessss makes a difference2. Do avoid applying this on broken skin .If it stings , go back to repairing your barrier .3. This for oily skin must be incredible for dry layering is key .4. Apparently ceramide based creams need to have some masking scent to disguise their smell ? but this has no detectable or pungent smell whatsoever .5. It should come sealed .6. An HG cleanser is Eucerin dermatoclean gel . In the pm I use a liquid unscented baby oil (mineral oil ) as first cleanse ( to remove make up) then the gel as second cleanse . No stinging , no irritation just incredible . Simple , fast and leaves skin calm .Incredibly this lotion /cream doesn’t make my skin blotchy or red like the hundreds of creams I’ve tried . Incredible. I’m on my 4th tube .Highly , highly recommend .Fx

Softer skin!
I noticed that my skin was softer after just two uses. I do put another product over top because it contains hyaluronic acid and I have been led to believe you need extra moisture with that, but this was the only new product in my routine that led to the improvement of my skin.

MY FAVORITE!!
This face moisturizer is the BEST!! I use Vanicream brand for all my skincare products that I can. It is so light, never greasy, and makes my skin so soft. I never gotten a break out from this lotion. I pair it with the vanicream face moisturizer and love the results. It has no scent, and I can mix it with a face tanner and get great results. NO other brand compares for me. I used to break out from other face moisturizers and this one has been a life saver!!

A Little Goes A Long Way.
You don’t need much to cover the face. I add another ingredient, typically, combine a dab in the palm of my hand and apply. Not irritating or overly scented. Will buy again.

I am a repeat buyer of this product. I have tried many moisturizers, from inexpensive to expensive, and this is the best one I have used. I naturally have an oily face and this product does not add to it. It leaves my face moisturized with out feeling tacky or oily. I have had issues with other product’s where they dry my face out even more and this Vanicream does not do that. It does not irritate my skin and there is no scent. I will continue to keep buying this product!

Obsessed!
My skin, which is highly sensitive and reactive, absolutely loves this moisturizer! Bonus points because it works beautifully under any and every kind of makeup! The fact that I can use it with or without makeup and it doesn’t pill or disturb anything is fantastic.This is probably going to the top of my list now which is crazy because it costs about a quarter or a fifth or even a 10th of some of my other (high end) moisturizers. This is definitely a case of less is more and this simplified, stripped down moisturizer does everything it’s supposed to do while not disturbing your skin at all. The nailed this one… Perfection!

Love this light moisturizer.
This has helped my skin a lot. Not heavy therefore my pores are cleaner and my skin in clearer. I have used the best skin care but I have to say this was better at a very low price. I will continue to use. I have very sensitive skin and my dermatologist recommended this and it works for me. My skin is soft without redness and pores smaller.

Incredible moisture for sensitive skin! No funky smell, doesn’t clog pores, and hypoallergenic (for me at least.) Remember that HYPOALLERGENIC does NOT mean it’s not an allergen for EVERYONE! NOTE: Friend of mine wanted to try it, made her face itch. I’m actually allergic to hypoallergenic Baby Oil: It burns my skin! Asked my Dr because it was so bad, I needed my skin treated and she said “hypoallergenic does not mean it’s true for EVERYONE!I love this stuff! I use it at least at night before bed after my Rx retinol gel or my Gycolic Acid serum (1 night 1% retinol gel, next night Loreal Gycolic Acid Serum, ect…)I use 100% pure Rosehip Oil under it, both morning and night. Always end with another great moisturizer with AT LEAST SPF 30, 50 if I can find it (😡 actual plain sunscreen, especially on my face. Gets in my eyes and burns and can’t ever get the taste of it out of my mouth. Love moisturizer w SPF instead!)

Favorite moisturizer
I use this as apart of both my day and night skincare routine. It’s very light and simple. Doesn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts, which is a godsend for me. Little to no scent, absorbs fast, and is great for under makeup or spf. My favorite moisturizer I’ve tried and it’s very affordable.

Great for Extra Sensitive Skin
I absolutely love my Vanicream face wash and wanted to try this from a long time. I have perioral dermatitis so almost all products break me out even mildest products on market like cetaphil and cerave. I had found Vanicream through a perioral fb group. I am super impressed by this cream. It is a little runny but that’s why you do not need to apply a lot and it does not feel greasy on my face. I absolutely love it!

Rare to find an affordable face cream where you instantly feel the effects as soon as you put it on. This cream is unscented and lightweight. A little goes a long way and it quickly and seamlessly seeps into the skin leaving it nice and soft. Great for morning prep, pre makeup and evening.

Thick and smooth
I have been using this thick cream on my face for several days now. It does not feel sticky and can be left on for hours. I have noticed that my skin is softer and less dry already. I like the tube container as it makes this process less of a mess to accomplish. My skin feels refreshed after washing more so than just washing with soap. I think this cream will be a regular product for me now.

I’ve used so many moisturizer and none of them are this good. I have combination dry skin and my aesthetician friend recommended me this product and I do enjoy how it moisturizes and isn’t super heavy on my skin. It doesn’t clog my pores and skin doesn’t get flaky in this weather now! Highly recommend

Long review coming lolI can’t believe how nice this moisturizer is. I had heard so many people recommend it but thought it would be just like cerave and nothing special (I was wrong!)I started tretinoin/hydroquinone formula 2 months ago, so needed a moisturizer with no actives, and that would help with the skin barrier. I automatically went for cerave moisturizing CREAM, it was way too heavy feeling and I noticed more milia on my face after starting it. So I switched to cerave lightweight moisturzing LOTION and it was the same, it just felt lighter on my fingers when applying but no different on the face.In this first month I also got very oily, prob not moisturized enough bc I was trying to go so light handed with it. Even tried an oil free gel moisturizer from Farmacy but the oiliness and milia were still going full speed. tret was fixing other issues but moisturizer causing new issues :(So now, I’ve started using Vanicream Daily Facial moisturizer and when I tested it on my hand I was shocked at how it feels, its so smooth but not too dimethiconey (thankfully bc I hate that feeling)It absorbed so quick into my hand and still left my hand a satin matte finish but felt hydrated and supple. Glad to report it’s performing just as well on my face! I finally found my HG product. It doesn’t sit on top of the skin and leave it oily or greasy like all the other moisturizers I’ve tried do. I’ve always refused to use moisturizer in the morning before makeup bc of that but I’m def comfortable using this one (before SPF of course)

How am I just finding out about this?
I am beginning Tretinoin 0.05% and will use this moisturizer as my night cream. I decided to start this moisturizer prior to beginning Tret. to get a feel for it. I’m in love. I have been using Neutrogena Hydrogel but wanted something just slightly heavier. Dr. Dray suggested this for Tret users and I am glad I made this choice. It is slightly more viscous than Hydrogel, but has a much smoother feel once its on. I have combination skin, with t-zone oiliness and this cream agrees with my skin beautifully. If you have sensitive skin, look no more.EDIT 12.12.23: I am on my 3rd bottle since writing this. I wound up using this as my day cream. It is not thick enough for night cream (for me). While being on tretinoin, I really need something more substantial and with more oil. I LOVE the Vanicream moisturizing cream (in the pump) mixed with squalane oil for night, and it is just amazing.

Best moisturizing SPF alternative to Elta MD.
I used Elta MD for several years but eventually reached the point where I could no longer justify the price. This is a fantastic alternative. The consistency isn’t as “liquidy” or whatever — this stuff is certainly much thicker — but my advice is to blend it in your hands first before applying to your face. And apply it very gently. This helps smooth it over the skin and avoid pilling. And yes, this sometimes pills but what SPF doesn’t? Stop buying expensive stuff and please, for the love of God and this planet, stop experimenting with moisturizers and SPFs and skincare products in general and then throwing them out. This stuff will make your life a lot easier.

Brand my Dermatologist told me to use
So my face has become much more delicate and picky than it used to be. If I use any perfumed products, I break out in a dry, flakey rash. A Dermatologist said I should begin using Vanicream products and it worked like a charm. I use the moisturizer and the wash. It works really well and my skin is happy again. I just wish the price point was lower.

This is perfect for warmer months! I purchased it in winter and use it only at night because it is lightweight but I am beyond happy with it. I’ve been using expensive face creams so this is a welcome change. It’s become a permanent part of my skincare routine!

The only lotion I’ll put on my face- ever.
I have super sensitive skin and always battled breakouts until I switched to using an ultra-simple ultra-sensitive skin care routine that includes this amazing moisturizer. Not oily AT ALL, unscented, and has never ever caused me any issues. I’ve now been using this product for three years and I’ll never change. If you have sensitive skin, you need this.

Been using this for about three months. This is my second time ordering, and I just went ahead with the 3 month subscription because this stuff is the best. It’s affordable, and even better than CeraVe and Cetaphil in my opinion. There are zero harmful ingredients (scores 100/100 on Yuka 🥕), ceramides to lock in moisture, and the added hyaluronic acid is a huge plus. I hardly ever leave reviews but I just had to spread the word about this one.

I know we are supposed to put sunblock on but do I always do? No! Because I cannot stand the texture or feeling of a layer… Well with this one, I feel like I’m just moisturizing my skin before I start the day. We bought this on a whim, trying to find a cheap moisturizer. We have tried a few moisturizers from much more expensive companies and none of them worked as well and effective for the price. We definitely love this one. He has very dry skin and I have more of a combination skin but it works nicely for both of us. We’ve had the same bottle for almost 3 months with 2 adults using it. We are running on the low side now so I’ll have to get more soon but I’d definitely say to anyone on the fence to try it.

Clean product
I extensively researched the ingredients in this cream as many claim to be clean but have sneaky hazardous substances. Vanicream is truly clean with no risky additives. I have been using it for 11 months now and I absolutely love it. I have had minimal acne for the first time ever and it is just so lightweight yet moisturizing. I use it both after a shower and before bed. I would never consider using anything else.. and the price is just another perk!

Love this product
Absolutely love this sunscreen. Thick, moisturizing, perfect for sensitive/acne prone skin. I have really sensitive skin it did not break me out. My complexion is not that dark my foundation shade in fit me foundation is 355 and it leaves a very very very slight cast but wearable and barely there honestly. So If you have very dark skin it may leave a cast. But again love this product.

Really love the face moisturizer
I bought this brand after a recommendation from a dermatologist for some skins issues my daughter was having. Very moisturizing without being thick and heavy
I live in Colorado where it’s very dry and hard on your skin. I am in my late 40’s and don’t use face makeup so finding a moisturizer that keeps my skin healthy a looking good, in the winter months especially, is super important. This moisturizer does it without the high price tag.

Great lotion for dry skin
I really like this lotion for my face. My skin gets really dry in the winter and this lotion has remedied that. The only other moisturizer that worked similarly well was argan oil and I could not use that as a day cream (too shiny). This cream absorbs pretty well and does not leave a sheen. It has good ingredients, no unnecessary and harmful chemicals from what I could tell (like artificial colors, or preservatives that are carcinogens). The price was reasonable. It’s unscented, which works well for me (one less chemical). Will be buying this cream again.

Great moisturizer on the light side
I saw this was often recommended by dermatologists so I thought it would try it. Great price and a very simple product. I like it a lot. It’s a little light for my taste, and I often also put something a bit thicker over it if I feel the need. But it’s a great light easy on your skin moisturizer to have in your cabinet.
